Sherlock Holmes bitesize dramas. Evening of Short Plays features Sherlock Holmes "The Prisoner's Mystery"

An evening of bitesize dramas at The Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks Kent, England. The event presented several short stories for their September production. This included John DeGaetano’s 10 minute play, The Prisoner's Mystery.

September 2015: This post is to archive our website information about the production. Performing the shows cabaret style, along with dinner also served. Sandra Barfield is director and also a member of the Stag Theatre company. First, she asked actors to read a selection of plays, and as a result the final works chosen.

The Stag Theatre Company started life as the in-house amateur group. Thus, the company located Sevenoaks works alongside the professional team of Stag Tech. The group showcases the theatre's technical facilities in their productions. The Stag Theatre company produces an assortment of musicals, plays, mysteries, and fund raising events.

The stories primary use for students is to build performance skills

"I was quite delighted to attend the production and visit the company," said John DeGaetano, author of the short stories. "Above all, Sherlock Holmes bitesize dramas primary use for students is to build experience in performance skills. For that reason, the plays are easy to recite, true to form in elements of mystery/comedy, and light-hearted adventures."

The Director, Artistic Director, and Advisor is John DeGaetano, in musical theatre most of his life. Thus, he has a long list of director credits. They include productions. Evita, Cats, Pirates of Penzance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chicago and more. He's assisted with many productions, and directed his short play in New York, and a short series in London.
